In this modern re-imaging of the revered 1951 classic, Klaatu (Keanu Reeve), an alien of unknown origin, comes to Earth to tell everyone that the world is about to end, humanity and its fault. As remakes come and go, The Day The Earth Stood Still pass as neither the best nor the worst. This is simply average wrapped in a dark and humorless film style. A scientist (Jennifer Connelly) with a child (Jaden Smith) in tow, set out to change the destiny of the planet by convincing Klaatu to stop aliens from destroying the planet.
